Brent, Central London, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, and West London Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have merged as of 1 April 2021 to form North West London CCG. Brent, Central London, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, and West London Clinical Commissioning Groups is transferring to the new CCG – North West London Clinical Commissioning Group on 1 April 2021. The new Clinical Commissioning Group will become the new data controller.
Hounslow CCG is committed to improving access to primary care, so that our patients will find it easier to get a GP appointment that fits in with their busy working week and family commitments.
We want encourage our patients to 'talk before you walk' by calling NHS 111 to get advice on the most appropriate service for their need.

In April 2014, NHS England announced that North West London was successful in its bid for £5m from the Prime Minister’s Challenge Fund (PMCF)
The PMCF allowed CCGs to bid for funding to test out innovative new ideas designed to improve access to care for patients.
GP practices in North West London are working together to create 39 networks – covering 365 surgeries – to improve access for 1.8 million residents.
Each network will offer appointments 8am to 8pm on weekdays and for six hours on weekends, with same-day appointments for patients who need them, within four hours.
For people with non-urgent needs, they will be able to book appointments within 24 hours with a local GP, or at their own practice within 48 hours. Patients with more complex needs will have access to longer appointments and a named care co-ordinator, who will liaise with health and social care services, to co-ordinate their care.
Patients will be able to consult their GP across a range of media, so that they will not always need to attend their practice in person to receive care. Options to be explored include email consultation, telephone consultation and Skype.
Patients will be able to access their own patient record via their smartphone and online.
Implementation of improvements in patient access will begin from June 2014 onwards, with a new model of care across North West London in place from April 2015/16 onwards.
We are working with our North West London colleagues to deliver high quality seven day services, and collectively we have been selected as one of 13 ‘early adopter’ health communities across England to work with NHS Improving Quality to develop new models for seven day services which will push the boundaries and start to shape a new direction for the future.
Ours is one of the biggest initiatives of its kind, covering 1.9million people and involving more than 400 GP practices, 10 hospital trusts, 8 boroughs, and 4 community or mental health trusts.
The CCG will be working with partners from across the whole system, including West Middlesex Hospital, to meet the national clinical standards for seven day services, in order to ensure a high-quality service is consistently provided seven days a week.
