2019

A message from our chair

As we come to the end of 2018, now is a good opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved this year and what our plans are for the new year.

A busy year for Hounslow Clinical Commissioning Group

We achieved a great deal this year. Some of the highlights can be found in our annual report for 2017/18 and include the Cherry Tree House development and making evening and weekend appointments available in General Practice for all patients.

We have also made some notable improvements in our diabetes care and areas of cancer screening, although there is still much more work to do.

Our work next year will be shaped by our ambition to bring local NHS organisations and the council even closer together. This will enable us to deliver healthcare closer to home for the Hounslow community.

It’s also important to remember that winter - and especially the holiday season - can be a difficult time for the NHS.

We have planned in advance and we are working closely with our local NHS partners to make sure we are prepared for winter.

But we also need you to help us help you to stay well this winter. Read more on our website about how to access GP Extended Access Services, when pharmacies are open over the festive period and about using the NHS 111 service.

I also want to say thank you to the Hounslow NHS staff who will be working over the holiday period.

Enjoy a happy – and above all healthy – Christmas and New Year.
