NHS Hounslow CCG works with clinicians, patients and carers to make sure your health and social care services are effective and coordinated. 

We have an annual budget of £285 million to buy a range of services including:

  • Planned surgery (elective hospital care)
  • Rehabilitation care
  • Urgent care and emergency care
  • Most community health services
  • Mental health and learning disability services

NHS England is responsible for commissioning a wide range of services including primary care (GPs, opticians, pharmacists and dentists), specialised services, offender healthcare, secure mental health care and some armed forces healthcare.

From the 1 April 2013, Hounslow Council was given a new duty to improve the health of Hounslow. The public health team that was previously based in NHS Hounslow has moved over to the council and is responsible for sexual health services, drug and alcohol treatment, health checks, school nursing programmes, giving up smoking programmes and services to prevent childhood obesity. Public Health England is the overseeing body that has a duty to reduce national health inequalities and improve the nation’s health and wellbeing.
